Dear Random Lover

A poem by my best friend and i.

thestorytellerandthepoet

Dear random lover
This is not a poem
Maybe….maybe not
All I know is
I am not going to write you a sonnet
Filled with rhymimg couplets
That is totally not my intention
I’d rather zig-zag through hay fields
Go on a road trip with a polaroid camera
And capture the beauty of fogged out shrubby valleys
Or a thousand lightening bolts….with you
And if somewhere between these moments I keep quiet for way too long
You must have my tongue in your cheek.

Dear random lover
When we meet today
I hope I make you smile
And if I don’t
Maybe I can make you talk
Or fill the silence of my world with the echoes of your laughter
I’m quite the book:
An exciting cover with empty pages
Come
Let’s start something.
