Style Post: Monochrome (1/3)

Hey  peeps!

For a while now, if not since the beginning of time, black and white has been a force to reckon with.

From being what is seen as the absence of color to what is seen as the reflection of all visible rays of light, these colors are very strong pillars of the color wheel that is fashion.

Monochrome fashion is no longer a stranger in most parts of the World, neither in Nigeria. And we recently teamed up; myself, Chakie and Tee to do a Monochrome photo-shoot.

I’m the darkest of the trio. So, i decided to go with the “close to black” theme as my inspiration for my segment of the shoot. A simple LBD would have done the trick but i’d rather be simple with black leggings and a black chiffon shirt, a black wide brim hat which made the shoot only because my hair was in a very, very, terrible state and of course, WHITE shoes…. and a white bag (which could be substituted for a white clutch depending on the occasion) and few accessories- as i’m not very big on those.

it’s important to note that i am very camera shy hence this may or may not be my real face.

i think this look is appropriate for a girls’ night out, a date, an evening event, etc. What do you think?

Shirt: MANGO || Leggings: PRIMARK || Shoes: BRECKELLES  || Hat: Sir_holmes || Bag: NEW LOOK || Accessories: ASOS

Guess who’s segment is up next and win a recharge card. lol.
